Hmm. Well. What can I say?
As a long-time terrain-over-mapsheets player, I'd have to say it was so-so. Good for newbies, and it did clarify a few things. The large-scale and MWDA sections were informative. But most of it either already exists elsewhere, or is just fluff.
As a long-time terrain maker, the terrain building section was again, good for newbies, but nothing spectacular. I learned a little, but I saw a few things I prefer to do differently. It does beat the Battletech Compendium's miniatures and terrain section, though.
The artwork was good. Pretty book, but nothing revolutionary.
