Nice fluff! An amazingly and annoyingly effective mech. Even not using Solaris rules. The potential for 76 damage with 0 heat just makes me go, wow. Yes, it's got severe range problems and moderate speed. But the armor is good and it can jump. Not too bad in a city and infantry are going to send hitmen after the designers soon. It's going to make someone famous some day. |

I actually like this mech. It has whatever it needs. long range attack plus short range attack capability. It's a bit faster though it loses it's jumping for it. Not sure if that's good or not yet. Slightly thicker armor and 11 heatsinks help this design perform longer than originally. On a side note, I'm surprised it has hands. |

Amusing indeed. Very fast, well armored, and containing an excellent electronics suite. It fulfills it's mission parameters well. While I wouldn't pilot it too much, I'd give it a go at least once. No weapons keeps the pilots on trrack to do their job, which is to get the info and get back to base to report it. |

Interesting use for the stealth armor. Good speed, good armor protection, excellent electronics suite, decent weapons load, and the stealth capabilities make this a good scout for attachment to a regiment's command unit. Still not sold on ER mediums, but that's just me and I don't see them harming this mech's mission parameters. |

I had made the Spider conection before reading it in the fluff. It's a poor cousin to the spider. It goes slower but is more armored than the Spider. That being said, I think it has a higher survivability than the Spider. Still fast, it's got good armor coverage, and the weapons are light for it's size though with the speed to offset it some it's not so much of an issue. |

Great speed, good armor, and an excellent electronics package make this a great scout. The MASC is an added bonus. The weapons are light for it's size but with it's speed, it hardly needs it. |

This is no longer a Firestarter. Removal of half it's flamers reduces it's inceenadary effectiveness by half. The addition of stealth armor is a big plus, but the inclusion of so many ER lasers is a big minus. Still has decent speed and good armor coverage though. And perhaps a swap from ECM to a probe. May help with figring out which clump of woods to torch first, the ones with the troops hiding in them. |

Personally I don't like MRM's. That being said, I do like this mech as it's existence is explained clearly in the fluff. It's not a production mech but a field mod based on equipment availability. It's short range firepower is enhanced a lot though it suffers quite a bit at longer ranges. If mixed with other Catapult units this will help out a bit as it would confuse an opponent on the differing configs. Nice one. |

Very cool running at range. Can maintain good fire up close as well. A discrepincy though. It lists SRM-6's on the mech but the fluff indicates SSRM-6's. Minor point. Good armor, average mobility for it's size, and good longevity on the field makes for a nice package. |

Um...does this even deserve a chassis? It's fast, which I like. Even has overmaxed armor, which I hate. Couple problems I have with this design. As far as cheap goes. Not really. A LCT-1V Locust is 15,000 C-bills cheaper goes just as fast, has same anti-infantry weapons but also adds a medium laser. As for being able to ward off infantry attacks, yes it can, but for about 130,000 C-bills I can get 2 APC's which have a MG each and also carry a squad of infantry each. This mech would make a decent scout mech. It lacks enough firepower to induce the pilot to combat so mayhap the scouting info will survive to get back to base. |
