This is THE premier scout mech of this era. You just can't find a faster mech with better hardware than this. Good armor for it's size but speed is it's best friend. keep moving to keep your opponents modifiers high, and sneak in behind to cut through rear armor as much as possible. If you use this mech properly it will serve you well for a good long time. |

Definately one of the best heavies of the 3025 era, and can hold it's own even against clan machines. This is the mech I'd use if I wasn't sure of what I'd be going up against. It's got decent long range punch with the LRM's and large laser. Up close it's brutal (watch the heat though) It even has machine guns for infantry, or for that turn when you need to cool off but would like to fire something. This mech is the best off the heavy work horses the Inner Sphere has to offer |

I have to disagree that the firepower on this mech is inadequate. I have actually found it to be quite effective when dealing with other 3025 mechs, and have had some success against clan tech with this one. This is definately the thinking man's (or woman's) mech, not a slugger but a great tactical asset to many situations. Definately a team player this mech is great for jumping around the battlefield assisting it's lance mates, and the JJ's make it a dangerous backbiter. One of my favorite mediums. |

You folks can all call me crazy, but after piloting this mech (my first assault) in many games including a few roleplaying games during the clan invasion, I gotta tell you, this is a fun roleplaying 'mech. The armor on this thing allows it to absorb some serious punishment before it goes down and the physical attacks are just AWESOME. Okay the firepower is seriously lacking, but still a fun mech to play with. This one is also a team player, it definately relies on lance mates that hit harder. park it next to your Warhammer and when someone comes close to try to silence the PPC's, hit 'em with a charge. OUCH. |

My favorite 'mech of all time, and this and the WHM-6R are the reasons I started playing all those years ago. The PPC is to keep other 'mechs on their toes until you get into ML and SRM range, then you go to town. If you happen to stumble upon infantry (of the non-elemental type) the MG's really prove their worth (although if I were infantry and saw this coming I'd run) I have used this 'mech on several occasions, and have been successful against Atlases, Awesomes, and countless heavies. Simply one of the best designs of all time. |
