All, I was informed that the server I'm on may be going away on February 2nd. For those that don't know, I've been piggy-backing on the same server as BattleCorps and the BT website for quite some time now. They may be moving to a new server, and it's not clear if my domain will be moving with it. So, I'm going to start looking for a new home, but wanted everyone to know in case the site goes down and isn't around for a little while!
Having said that, anyone know any really good web hosting companies? Not looking to pay a fortune, but I want something reliable and somewhat configurable, so am willing to pay for that.

Try Free Forums.net. One of the other boards I'm on, Mythbusters fan site Citadel of Myths (citadelofmyths.freeforums.net), is running on them.
There are issues with downtime on the company's end, but I've otherwise heard no real complaints from the guy who's running it.

That's just a site for forums, and not what I need.
I've been doing some digging, reading a lot of reviews, etc. Think I'm gonna go with www.inmotionhosting.com. They seem to have far fewer negative reviews, and just reading their forums and what-not, they seem to be pretty active in troubleshooting issues.
Will probably kick this off soon, so may be offline for a tad!

If you're seeing this message, then it means you are now accessing my site on the new host. Congratulations, you've made it! 
It may take another 12 hours or so to be a sure thing, as the path you make take to get here could easily change and ping a server where the DNS info hasn't been updated yet. Now that I've moved, I'd greatly appreciate it if you let me know if you notice anything not working. Due to server differences (newer version of PHP, path structures, etc) I've had to tweak a lot of code to account for things working slightly different.

Just the mordel.net domain? Or are you also considering the earlier mordel.rpex.com version? That started in 1998, and I'm fairly certain I had this thing hosted on an ISP domain as well for a year or so before that, though I can't recall what it is.

Hehehe, you're getting so long in the tooth, you're not able to remember anymore! I joined your community in the fall of 98 and iirc the group had been around for years!

Aye, that you are. You are the only one around this bunch who I know was already here when I came in. Pinhead and Horhiro may be veterans too, and chihawk in RL, but I remember chihawk's first post.  And good times when Uzie...uh...Vagabond was the resident youngen!

I actually had the web site before I knew chihawk. Back then I referred to him as that mean older bastard I'd see at the convention once a year!
