After much debate with myself, I have decided to go ahead with the Online Play-by-Web Battletech campaign. In this campaign, I will work with select players to run a 3025-Era Mercenary Company as the events of the 3rd SW unfold. This will be an alternate history timeline with a few tweaks (such as certain non-original 3025 tech being possibly available as a common or uncommon item; Ex: CASE) and the possibility to effect history. This thread will serve as the focus point for company activities with a sub-thread being used for combat resolution.
All discussions related to this game will take place in the appropriate thread.
Game Parameters
Game Master: Vagabond
Registration Deadline: None
Map: Variable; See combat thread for details of the mission.
Minimum Players: 8
Maximum Players: 12
Spaces Remaining: 0
Player Positions:
CO remaining: 1
This player is responsible of working with the GM using the various campaign rules in the various rule books to run the company. This would be the most involved position besides the GM as they would need to work with the GM on the logistical and strategic stuff. The CO is also a player.
Lance CO remaining: 3
This player is a sub-position that may get delegated certain logistical and strategic decisions by the CO that pertain to their lance. The Lance CO is also a player.
Player remaining: 8
During combat encounters these players will submit movement and attack orders in the same way as other Mordel play-by-web games. They will also get to create a simple character that will gain xp and the ability to learn new skills and traits.
Non-Combat Players - Players who just want to help on the logistical end. These positions are not player as defined above.
Chief Technician remaining: 1
Head Doctor remaining: 1
Chief Administrator remaining: 1
BattleMech Selection Criteria: Players will be assigned their Battlemech by the unit CO.

I'm interested. Do you have an estimate on time commitment per week for each of the positions? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I would be interested in playing a character, and would not be opposed to a CO position. (Lance CO or Company CO is fine.) I don't mind taking it on!

Player: 15 min twice a week on most events. Possibly more frequent if everyone submits fast.
LCO: However, much the CO assigns that is specific to the Lance. Ex. lance repairs, purchases, and strategic moves.
CO: Starting, a lot as we will need to design the company. Later, I'd guess a few hours a week as logistics are resolved.
Given its all so new, I honestly cannot guess at more then this. Do note that also at the start I will need to work with each player to design their character. I working on that system right now. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Count me in then! I'll take the grunt player as it looks like you have enough volunteers for the higher ranks. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I call Mordel for my lance! I need to Heckle him...
Also, are we going to pull in quirks from the BattleMech manual beta? So every canon design has quirks?

I'd be a nightmare for you!! You know that one guy who just doesn't listen and does what he wants, but he's just good enough where you need to keep him around? Yeah... _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I will be utilizing the quirks as currently listed for the current builds in the version of MekHQ I will be using for tracking. So depending on what state the canon designs are in will determine which design has what.
I don't have the BM Manual yet. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.
