*Air Engagement resolved.*
After days in transit, your unit makes the re-entry burn into the atmosphere. As the atmosphere of the planet and the engines of your Union decelerate your from orbital speeds, you are tossed about as the air buffets your ship. The super-heated air that envelops your hull gives way to supersonic air as you slow until finally smoothing to sub-sonic speeds as you arc towards your target: the enemy airbase.
Warned by your decent pattern, the enemy air-support rises to engage the very aerofighter sent to destroy them. Kilometers below, a fight ensues as fighter-craft engages fighter-craft in a dance of death. Out numbered but better equipped your allies descend upon the enemy. The chaos of radio chatter fills your cockpits: "That's a hit, that's a hit", "taking fire. I'm hit, nothing critical", "Come left. Keep coming. That's it!", "2 minutes to touch down". As the combat clock clicks down towards 0000, you hear the words all combat pilots dread: "I'm hit! Loosing control", "Alpha Lead to Horse's Stable. Alpha Two is hit and going down.", "Punch out Alpha Two. Punch out!", "Alpha Lead to Horse's Stable. Alpha Two is down. I never saw a chute. Disengaging. Mission aborted."
And with those words, the exterior doors to the Union slide open and the cargo master yells "Go! Go! Go!". Operation Palomino is a go.

"Scouts Out! Mordel, Jymset and Green Spectre watch your damned burns! I don't want any limp dicks out there! Move it!" Fenstermaker punched the big red button to release his mech. "stay togetherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" his voice seemed to stretch as the mech dropped. _________________ "My Blood is not mine to give, it belongs to my Brothers"

The whole light lance should be out the doors first. Followed by any run and gun that have jump capabilities.. Remember your training and kick ass..... _________________ Today is a good day to die!!

I'd rather be fighting taking control of my own fate than sit here twiddling my thumbs! I'm jumping!

Fire lance, your orders:

Pcmcp you'll be staying back with me. I'll need you extra lrms to help me lay down fire when we touch down.

Mordel knew when to go, and it was when his LCO told him to. And with the command spoken, he jumped out the open hatch, throttling his jump jets ever gently to control his descent!
"This is gonna be fun..." Mordel said, as he grinned, not knowing if it was over the open mic or not. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I will be moving forward with the battle tomorrow. So if i don't get any changes to ammo load-outs, then i'll be going standard. You have until I get everything setup and posted. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

I've got nothing to swap out, so my decision in this matter is always easy! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Last one of the light lance out the gate, Hans Gruber hesitated not when punching the release. He would cover his lance mates from the rear; no harm would come to them if he could help it. _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior
