Big news in the world of mecha.
For starters, reports coming out of Toy Fair this past weekend are that Hasbro now has the rights to the Power Rangers toy line, Bandai America having lost the rights after 25 years.
Now Hasbro's Japanese partner Takara-Tomy has announced that they're re-launching the "Zoids" franchise with a new Nintendo Switch game and new toys; an anime may not be that far behind if T-T can find a studio with slack in their schedule. If the re-launch does well in Japan, it won't be long before the line goes international.
So it seems like Hasbro's in a position to do a *lot* of mecha product in the next few years.
Anyone else wondering if that might create an opening for Battletech product at mass retail again? _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat."
