Yeah, I was surprised you actually did that! Mostly because your fire was already coming in from the right side, so a better chance at hitting the leg to begin with. Not sure he'll be around this turn for you to finish off.

You mean, MASC and Supercharger in the same turn, coupled with a Sprint, and a pilot check needing a 7+?

Ya, so my first thought was exactly that: he won’t be around next turn to finish off. So my logic was this. I can’t finish him with a torso destruction as he has clan xl engines, 2 engine hits and he’s still up, so I NEED the leg destruction.
So my options were:
91.66% chance to hit him needing a 4+; then for hit location I need a 3 (8.33%) or a 6 (13.88%)= total (22.21 %) chance to hit him in the right leg and rip it off.
Or
41.66% chance to hit him with 8+ for aiming at right leg; then for hit location I need a 6 (13.88%), 7 (16.66%), or 8 (13.88%) = total (44.42 %) chance to hit it. If those numbers weren’t rolled, then another 22.21% chance to hit the 3, or 6 locations normally.
I suppose I could've figured in the extra 2.77% chance to hit his head with the almost guaranteed first option, but I didn’t figure that into the second chance either.
So: I picked option 2. Still think it was the best option for me, although option 1 would've likely softened him up for future players targeting him.
