| I'm just along for the ride at this point, but if we can negotiate some salvage back or at least a pain free retreat... their arti can harass us for klicks to come, and they still have fast movers to spot/harass us too... no point in dying for this contract.

ooc- you may retreat off any edge, but only the top edge will get you closer to the dropships.

Ok. I am going to GM fiat the rest of this battle and declare that you escape; however, you are hounded by artillery for a while. Eventually after a several hour march, you make it back to the LZ and lift off just as artillery starts spraying the airfield.
You are able to make it back to the Lyran jumpship and jump out to Lyran space. Arriving a Timbiqui, you continue with repairs and learn that the Lyran's launched a major raid across the boarder to Epsilon and Nockatunga after several FWL Militia units were pulled and routed to Griffith in response to your raid. You have acheived your objective and your pay will soon be released by Comstar upon arrival at Galatea.
As per your contract, the Lyrans assist in transport back to Galatea. Upon arrival, you are faced with several choices. That I will describe after processing your pay and return trip.
Enjoy your Holidays and New Year. Nothing major will happen until after the new year.
As usual, feed back is always welcome. Though, if its anything to the effect of "turns need to be processed faster" then I am sorry and already aware. lol.

We won, but losing so much hardware makes it feel like we lost.
Such is the life of a mercenary. If you need me, I'll be perusing the Trade a 'Mech ads for a fixer-upper.

I head back to my bunk and am generally surly as I unfortunately plot a way out of the life of a disposessed... start looking the Comnet and MRB boards for folks with rides available looking for Mechwarriors. Unfortunately, life is cheap but mechs aren't...
We might want to have a unit meeting sometime soon to figure out what to do with those of us that don't have rides anymore.
