In the spirit of speeding things along I would recommend we continue to roll with the characters we have already rolled up as a unit. From my understanding, we didn't lose any pilots so it would just be a matter of assigning them all new rides. You keep your original mechwarrior and then pick up whoever gets assigned to your other mech or two. I think that would be the fastest way to go.

I don't think anything has really been discussed about characters, dispossessed, creating new ones, etc. Maybe we can hear from Vagabond on how we want to handle that. We do have more rides, so technically need new characters created anyways, right?

I was just gonna random the 2 new pilots and go with the old, but I can custom one for the new guy.

Yes - up to 2 SRMs isn't going to do much - if I want to kill something I'll use the laser. With the infernos I can slow folks down, set fires, kill infantry, etc.

Sounds like a plan! Consider your unit loaded with Inferno's!

Vagabond, I assume you'll make the update on the unit in the TOE?

I have no plans to update the TOE for ammo changes as its swappable in like 15 min.

Would that include swapping out the machine guns and ammo in the T-Baolt for either 2 MLasers, or 2 flamers?

If so then please do so.. 1st choice is the lasers. 2nd choice are the flamers

We can do so, but may I point out that you are adding 6 heat to a design that is notorious for overheating?

My theories on mechs has always been that I want the ability to feather my attacks.. or to dump the whole thing in an instant burst if I get the numbers that I need..

I like designs that can hit around 14 heat on an alpha strike..

But, I hear ya.. How about getting rid of the machine guns for two heatsinks as a just in case...
