Usually i would not dare to post here as i used normal scale model paints and a brush with outcomes that are in no way comparable to the pictures normally found in this forum 
But i think this maybe would be interesting:
Our game master was fond of Wasps so we destroyed a lot of them.
Instead of cannibalising each one for parts i put whole sections of Wasps into my spare parts inventory.
When i finally put a whole Mech together i decided to paint the sections with the 'previous' camo/coloration.
All the 'weathering' is paint conveniently chipped off 
PS The thumbnails look really bad, but if opened the pictures are OK.

As all components were from WSP-1A models the outcome was just a WSP-1A
