================================================================================================
Overview:
My personal take on what the Clan IICs should have been. What I am call the VIIC. Core
concept is to avoid using the XL engine; weight, armor, and structure may use special
materials.
Capabilities:
An upgrade of the 9-A that expands on its anti-infantry role with Elementals in mind. The
ML are upgraded to ER, the SL to SPL for added anti-infantry, and upgrades the flamers to
clan spec. Finally, the Endosteel allows an additional 0.5 ton of armor, an AMS to swat
down Elemental missiles, and light active probe to find hidden infantry.

There are some nice variations of "old" mechs. But I would suggest to use in most cases a "full" active-probe - the 0.5 ton of additional armour is not that important...;o) The benefit of finding hidden units is much higher - especially in case of the scout class _________________ "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heav'n" John Milton

I considered that on most of the Mechs that i've equipped it on, but many of those with a light AP have them because i had 0.5 tons to spend. That is why the Stinger and Firestarter have a LAP while the Mongoose has a full AP. Though, I had to make the decision between armor and full AP on the Spider.
I actively avoid over armoring any of the VIIC so not wasted tonnage there, but I could probably afford 0.5 ton drop on some of them. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.
