Any piece of equipment that is "attached" or modifies another piece of equipment is generally specified on the Distribution tab. In this case, assuming the unit has access to pulse modules (Dark Age, Experimental), you'll associate them to a specific laser by doing the following:
Navigate to the Distribution tab
Place the laser in the desired slot
Click the gear icon which appears to the right of the laser
Click the 'Add pulse module' checkbox
Click OK
Assuming you had slots remaining in the location, you'll now see RISC Laser Pulse Module placed immediately below the laser. You can remove the laser from the distribution which will auto-remove the pulse module. You can also remove the pulse module and place it somewhere else in the location, if desired.
