================================================================================================
Overview:
At the dawn of the IlClan era there was no denying to anyone watching, that the reformed FWL
was a rapidly ascending power. With a national GDP unmatched in the spin-ward side of the
Inner Sphere, and a military industrial complex kicking into high gear, many of their
neighbors were left looking on with worry. However, The league its-self and many of the
military corporations within league space were still dealing with the ramifications of
Operation Hammerfall, leaving military planners and CEO?s the difficult task of which mech
designs to save and which mech designs to abandon.
The Bloodhound first produced in 3064 to square off against the Capellan Confederation in
guerilla/counter-insurgency warfare had been an under-the-radar star during the years of
chaos following the break-up of the FWL where low-intensity conflict had been the norm. As a
result of this it was made abundantly clear to the board members of Earthwerks that
production of this mech should be restored (and possibly updated) as soon as possible.
Earthwerks would respond by expanding their production lines on Calloway IV (with assistance
from various state actors) to include Bloodhound production.
Capabilities:
The B4-HND would be the first mech produced at the Calloway IV factories. An update upon the
B1 and B2 the B4-HND would feature 3 medium X-pulse lasers, 2 small X-pulse lasers, and a
Clan-spec SRM6 for its weapons package. A CASE II would be supplied to protect the missile
ammo. The electronics package would be upgraded to a Bloodhound Active Probe and an Angel
ECM suite. Additional protection would be provided in the form of 8 tons of Ferro-Fibres
armor (143 pips). While the B4-HND would run hot the 11 double heat sinks provided would
keep with mech cool with proper weapons cycling.

Think I liked the Xpulse laser version better. Not the better design, but felt like it fit in the setting better.
Also have a voice wondering why No one ever uses clan CASE II.

For the clan CASE II, I have yet to find any IS mech's that utilize's Clan CASE II. Hence why I haven't employed it to date. I imagine it must be hard to....produce?
The heat issues with the X-pulse version where bothering me, and I feel less guilty about using the clan weapons with mech's like the BLack Knight 18 walking the battlefields.
