Hello all, first post here.
So, simply put, how do I get a legal design without Lower Arm and Hand Actuators? The vast majority of designs lack one or both.
I'm trying to smurf up a design that I want to know the BV2 of, and it lacks both Lower Arm and Hand Actuators in the vast number of its configurations.
So how do I get a legal design without placing them?
Also, where's the suggestion section? Please move this there.
Please advise,

If you remove the Lower Arm and Hand Actuators from the design, the design is still valid. It does not require you to place them.

In designer, click on the actuator you want removed and it will move it to the unassigned list. Once there, leave it there.

As Vagabond said, just click them. Most rows on the Distribution tab are clickable, which either places a piece of equipment (if it says Roll Again) or removes the piece of equipment being clicked. The only ones that are not clickable are the ones in Gray, such as 'Shoulder'. There's a little Legend under the table to the right which tells you what the various colors in the distribution mean.

Well, I did.
It still said not everything was assigned.
I'm unsure how to get around that part of the leave them out issue.
I do hope that I'm not being unclear: I leave the LA and HA Actuators for each arm out, and it still says, translating, "Not all crits have been placed."

I will need to get a screenshot tomorrow or so, sorry for the delay.
I put things into the design before the actuators were pulled and it didn't yellow out this time. Odd... placing everything changed the post color icon.
I will have to try again as stated tomorrow or the next day, and see if I can remember to get a screen shot of the final view, and maybe repeat the process as before and see if there's any difference.
Gotta go to bed for today, starting a new job with rather long and odd hours, however, hey, at least it's work.

Congrats on the new job, and good luck!
The order shouldn't matter, but you do have to place everything outside the actuators for it to be "valid".

Yes, was more the odd find that placing everything after having removed the actuators didn't seem to go from yellow to green at the time.
Tried last night to put the design together again and forgot to remove the actuators, got a green despite having to reposition stuff inside.

Just ran into the same issue, might be time of day based?
Was trying to make the Halberd G, twin HAG 40, 8 tonnes of ammo, 2 ER ML's, and 3 ER SL's. Validation button stayed yellow, I didn't get a screenshot, will try and get one now, see about posting it.

It's definitely yellow. If you click on the Yellow pin, what is the exact text that it gives you in the dialog that appears?

The screenshot says that 'Model must be completed for OmniMechs'. So on the General tab there is a Primary Name, Secondary Name, and Model fields. You have to have a value in that Model field.
