Variants:
The CRB-29b Crab is a highly advanced model of this BattleMech equipped only to the Royal
regiments. Its extralight fusion core allows it to maintain flank speeds of nearly 100 kph;
while the MASC system grants burst of velocity up to nearly 130 kph. Twelve double heat
sinks make it 50% more heat efficient, which is necessary as its new weapons add to its heat
burden. The large lasers have been replaced with snub-nose PPC’s which have a lighter
impact at their long-range bands, but hit just as hard as the large lasers at their
medium-range. Where they really sign is their 450 meter short-range where they hit with a
25% greater impact. The smaller lasers have also been replaced; this time with shorter
ranges but more accurate pulse lasers. The small pulse laser also give the model some
authority against conventional infantry.
Endo-steel internals also allowed the engineers to install a Beagle active probe and
Guardian ECM suite to give the BattleMech scouting and electronic warfare capabilities.

Not sure I follow?
Did someone else make something similar? There have been so many made recently, that I may not be remembering it.

Or I’m just getting old.
Either are possibilities.

There's a CRB-29 posted by mekkatgirls just before this one was posted. Went the ERPPC route.
