Why bother? Upgrade to a new mobo instead.
DDR memory, Athlon XP CPU and AGP slot.
Or, if you wish to keep the old machine running, ask yourself what the bug really does that`s so horrible. If it`s nothing important then why care about it?

I just spent an entire day at work updating BIOS. Is you comp a custom or built by a company. Personaly, I wouldnt bother with BIOS unless you just got a new comp of just wiped the HD or something.
