Following their exile to the Inner sphere Clan wolf's scientists started a rapid technology share with the scientists from the Kell hounds.
During a Kell hound armory walk the clan scientsts noticed a Inner sphere ppc capacitor being fitted to a inner sphere ppc. when the general information was gathered about the new performance of the IS PPC capacitor the Clan scientists were thrilled and Imedietly set to work on their own version.
In the months that followed they finally stumbeled across sucess and had a working prototype of the Clan capacitor. Identical in everyway to the IS version, the clan capacitor is able to boost damage to match that of the Ac 20. Given the longer range of the PPC the clan scientists were estatic at their achievement.
Full scale production has been demanded by Khan Phelen Kell. New units will be recieveing the Clan PPC capacitor to upgrade their PPC's. Khan Phelen has also ordered a mass production of ERPPC's + PPC capacitors to be mass produced and made avaliable to the powers of the IS.
Stats:
Weight: 1
Criticals: 1
Heat: +5 to ppc heat
Damage: +5 to ppc damage
All of the standard rules that apply to the IS version apply to this version.
So tell me what you think. Munchy? Decent? Cool?

I would up the heat a little. If it can match the power of an AC/20 with more range, 20 pts of heat would seem kind of low. At least to me.
Or you could say that one certain roll the whole PPC is damaged and cannot fire. This would show that there is too much energy produced for the weapon to handle.

I agree with BP, it needs a bigger draw back in the heat area.
Other wise it's not to bad.

I`ll call it munchy garbage, just for game balace  Can`t really come up with a reason the clanner scum wouldn`t try a capacitator though, perhaps someone else can?
Ah, of course! Their ERPPC already contains much better power systems that this. They can`t add a capacitator because, well, basically they already have it. Without increasing the heat and it`s active every round, too!

Yeah Its been an Idea I was playing with and I'm not even sure that I like it. I went with it being the same as the inner sphere version simply because I figured IF they made it they wouldnt make it worse than the theirs and I just couldnt make it better than that since its pretty unbalancing as it is.
So Im thinking some more work to see if its worth it. As a alternate im thinking along the lines of 8 heat and 5 damage and mabey upping the weight to 1.25 tons, and leaving it 1 crit.
So its.
Weight 1.25
crit 1
Heat +8
Damage +5 to PPC damage
Giving the ppc a new damage rating of
+20 Damage
+23 Heat
Range 7/14/23(if thats the current PPC range cant rember)
Weight 7.25 for both
crits 3 total
Looking at it I think upping the heat to 10 may be better. For a total of +25 heat and +20 damage.
Hmmm still thinking on it.

The orginal Clan ER PPC is still munch compairde to the IS PPC.
Abominations like this one are the reason why CBT is dying and i have to play _____ in the future
