This mech was made specifically as a sniper mech, able to pick out targets from range while giving a low targeting profile. Slower then its previous cousins, it makes up for less in mobility in the form of jumpjets and survivability in the form of more armor. Its UAC20 was placed for maximum protection should the fighting come in tight. Can also be deployed in Urban combat operations.

You have the DHS, why not an Ultra AC/10 to give the machine full punch at range?

Hmm.

An interesting point. I was thinking maximum punch for up close and personal but range does have its advantages.

I will consider the suggestion with great interest.

Per Jade_Dragon's suggestion, I reworked the Mortis C variant to include the UAC10. The Mortis D (aka the Jade Dragon) is the result of this suggestion.
