ICER's reply is to the mech Vagabond is talking about, not the mech Hawk has posted.
And I could have told ICER all that stuff wouldn't have fit without using HMP...unless it's a Clan mech he can't even fit the DHS on.
200 rated engine hold 8 DHS, leaving 9 to place. The LT holds 4, the RT holds 4...he's got 1 left and no location with 3 empty spaces to place the last one.

Hawk, can you do detachable Hand-Held weapons? If so, then make uyour mech as strong as possible defensively, then use the hand held weapons to add firepower. Hand-Held Gauss Rifles are good. It's what I did on a MaxCheese monster I did a while back. I called it the Golem because the damn thing was almost impossible to kill.

qusition for ronin.
my max tech book is not with me but i thought it was impossible to have a handheld gauss. mechs can only carry 1/10th there weight. so a handheld weapion can only be up to 10 tons. and that has to include ammo and heat sinks. i rember i had two i loved.
#1. enfeild; ac/5 one ton ammo, one heat sink. no armor. total weight 10 tons. great to add a little long range punch. very short lived though.
#2. zippo; SRM 2 one ton ammo(inferno).one flamer, 4 heat sinks and 2 tons of armor(yup 32 points). i dont use infernos in my mechs(two words spontanios combustion). so i really loved useing this one.
hey, i just had a nasty idea. im going to make one with an RAC/2. he he he

RAC 2 sounds pretty good. I think I used TSM to get the strength to carry a hand-held guass rifle. The TSM also added to the munch factor in other ways than this. It helped to somewhat counteract the speed lost from the hardened armor. Plus double damage in physical combat from a 100 tonner tends to keep some opponents at distance (give this bad boy a hatchet and wow! off with his head!)
Null-Signature system is also something good to have if you have the space. Munchy as hell, but that's what this monster design is about, right?
Wow, I haven't let my inner munchkin out in a while, and now I know why!
