hello. todays play test of cry freedom at total con went very well. some people gave it a try and had a good time with it. the quickest 1 on 1 match lasted 2 rounds, and about 1 min of real time. raven of course kicked my butt on that one. its a FAST game system!! it will be there at total con next year.
raven and i will also be joining in on some battletech action next year again, beware the level one mediums!!!

Forget that. What is the skinny on the click based Btech games. Was it there?

I saw one guy that had (think he was the demo person) that had one he was showing people. Chihawk refused to touch it. It was an agromech thing converted into a fighting machine. I thought it actually looked pretty cool. Heck, I might even bye one and give it a shot. It never hurts to know what people are talking about.

The guy was offended that I refused to even look at it. He told me the MageKnight system was "the future of gaming".

I guess all us gamers are screwed as there was zero people playing the Mage Knight games and under 10 people even stopped to play the free demo game in 4 days.

31 different people were playing Battletech--not bad for a game that was declared "dead" by some.

Death to all click base Btech games... Sorry had to be said.

It was the same at Lone Star comics (My local supply store) They had two games going. The orginal Btech and the Click based.

Nobody was playing the click based. But the Classic table was packed.

I got a good look at the Click mechs. PEW!! They stunk. cheap plastic. Cheesy parts that only move a little. Yuck.

But the paint scheme was nice

Back to the topic?!?!

OK...

I did my best to kill off players as fast as I could in Mordel's Battletech event to free up players for Raven's game, but hey, I'm only one guy

It looked like people were having fun over at that table....

yeah, it was fun for us to run. next year we will have some of the major problems worked out since this was our first *real* play test with people not involved with the project. Raven and myself will be working hard on fixing problems during the rest of the semester as well as the summer. Next year we plan on having everything set to go and not having to use battletech minitures, even though i like them. painting minitures of our own design will give me something more to do. we will also hopefully show off a 3d map of our own design.
