Atlas for Innersphere. (now that the Warhammer is forbidden)
Mad Cat/ Timberwolf for the clans.

The most overrated mech in the game, you mean

The Mad Cat kicks butt. Every time I have used it I have been pleased with its performance. The amount of pod space, heatsinks, good speed, and high armor make it an extremely versatile and potent design.

Evertime I've played against it I've taken it apart. I'm 18-0-1 Vs the Timberwolf.

When i read the title of this thread I immediately thought "Phoenix Hawk." I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Thanks Pinny. Failing that I'll take the Marauder. 3025, when pilots were pilots and heat was something to worry about.

From way back, I think the Warhammer is still the 'signature' battlemech, packing a lot of firepower for a 3025 mech. It was on quite a few covers back in the day, and of course it was associated with best mechwarrior, Natasha Kerensky.

I always associated Natasha Kerensky with the Daishi Widowmaker. Why would she pilot an Inner Sphere 'mech?

cause when she was with the Wolf's Dragoons she piloted the most feared Warhammer in the IS.

Actually I believe the first time MechWarriors in the Periphery encountered the Clans, it was their MECH COMPUTERS that dubbed it the MAD CAT, as it kept switching target designations between the Marauder and Catapult based on silouette and weapons suite.

THe Battlemaster is my first and favorite mech. It might be the BattleTech Mech, but I still see that atlas glaring at me....

Timberwolf, all the way. The shoulder mounted missile pods seal the deal Also, is the Vulture a Vulture or Mad Dog? In Mech2 it was the Mad Dog, and instead of the Timberwolf-type arms it had a set of Rifleman-type arms, much cooler IMO.

It is a question, Is Btech an old game or a new game? If you say old then Atlas, if you say new it is any Clanner junk you want on the cover.

AWAD- remeber it was an Atlas that kicked down the gates on Terra that ended Aramis's coup
