Designer's Notes:
I wanted a Missile Battlecruiser like the Kirov class warships of today. I included some elements from the RL Kirov class such as 20 Kraken-Ts, exactly same number as the Kirov had of Shipwreck SSMs. The standard weapons are remiscent of the loadout on Kirov as well. Just you know, I only used the Kirov as an inspiration, so not everything from my design does match the RL Kirov Class.

*shrug* I don't play AeroTech2. My Autumn Class Corvette is just a hold over from my old BattleSpace days... And the Sledgehammer was designed at Karagin's rquest. Again, I drew mostly on experience with BattleSpace.

I'm simply going on how this thing would work in B-Space, so if I say something odd, take it in stride. This thing would be great in orbital bombardment and is a kind of "support" ship. Though it has heavy armor, it carries mostly long range weaponry and has not real reason to close. Maybe to enforce the support role you could add some screen launchers?

Kirov has 15k tonnages of fuel. It is good for long term operations, especailly if you get a single dropship to carry Kraken-T and other missiles reloads as cargos. Devote 4% of Cargo to spare parts for repairs and maintenance or you can go 'lean' and go with only 1% devoted to spare parts, use the remainder of tonnages to carry foodstuffs and water along with missile reloads to load into the ammo bays between battle. _________________

Actually, long term operations are rare. The only long-term naval operation that comes to mind is Operation: Serpent. But really, it's more likely this ship would be off loading fuel for other dropships and warships that don't carry enough for long patrols.
And I doubt missile reloads will be a problem.

I like the concept, not sure how well it would hold up, your weapons arcs seem to be very well thought out.
Only think I would question is the number of fighters. I would think a ship this size should carry a min of a wing +2 for a total of 20 fighters/small craft. Also you marine/BA contingent seems a little small.
Overall though I like it.

Just thought of something. It has been observed by others that the ships seems to be designed for long range engagements. With that in mind would it not be better to drop the NAC 35s for 25s giving you extra range?

Those 70 damage point bays can make other ships think twice before closing with it. Especailly that you have very good chance of hitting anything at medium range bracket. Beside, you have to ask yourself, would you want to stay at range with the kind of weapons the Kirov Class already sported? Fighters complement, well it can be complemented by one Fighter Carrier DropShip. After all it does have 4 docking collars. 3 Assault DropShips and 1 Fighter Carrier DropShip make a nice tactical group headed by one Kirov ship, a fine addition to a fleet. _________________

Still if you have additional 50 point bays that can reach out another range bracket you may not have to worry about an enemy trying to close as they are already dead.

Not to mention, you should let others handle the short range stuff...(shameless plug warning) like my Autumn Class Corvette, or Sledgehammer Assault Ship.
