The trailers made it look stupid...I mean...a video tape that kills u when you watch it. I thought the movie was gonna be really stupid and suck a lot...
Boy was I wrong.
This has to be the scariest movie I have ever seen in my life. The plot is actually really awesome, though a little inconsistant at times. What made the movie scary was a combination of things. The plot was very suspensful...and that just made the huge amounts of shock scenes, the twisted imagery and everything else that makes a movie scary that much more intense.
Horror and suspense films dont tend to phase me. I watched The Shining when I was 10 or so...and it didnt get any response from me. None of the Friday the 13th movies even came close to scaring me. The Chuckie films made me laugh...
I screamed at parts of the Ring...and by the end my pulse had to be skyrocketing.
It is the goddam scariest movie I have ever seen...and it was so worth the money to see it. I say u should go see it too...but dont do it as a date. You'll never be able to talk to that person again.
Rating:
8/10

Dude, I still have nightmares from "The Shining". I watched it home alone in black and white no less, when I was about 14. That darn kid on the Big wheel....the two little girls....AAAIIIHHHHYYYYY!

You know...I dont get scared in movies. I watched the Shining when I was 10...and I was fine (laughed even), but I was screaming in most of the Rong...so that goes to show you...

I saw the ring. It was definately the scariest thing ever imaginable. I couldnt picture something more scary. Come on I mean When I saw the exorcist I thought it was funny as hell. But this movie dang that was bad. I had trouble driving home after it. Just when you though it was over it got worse. what kind of sick person could come up sith this!
Watch the movie seriously it is well worth your money. _________________ You want some? Come and get it

I just saw it, and I must say that it is a great, albeit twisted, movie. Although I never screamed or anything, it did have my pulse going a few times. Unfortunately the last half-hour or so was ruined for me when people in the theatre started openly talking (it sounded like to ease the tension). If you like movies with dark plots, characters, and endings, then this is the movie for you.

Yeah...I think seeing it opening day was what really made it scarier. After the opening weekend the theater is full of people who have already seen it, and are just dragging other people along...you dont get the same sense of 100% fright after the opening weekend.
I have the Japanese movies here...and they are darker, but not as in your face scary...
