Ok...as you all know, Christmas just passed, and as you may not know, I got alot of DVDs of movies I hadn't seen before as presents (or I bought myself later)...so, here's a review of a few of them...

Spider-Man...ok, as many of you know, I'm a comic fan, and one of the comics I used to get was Spider-Man (got out of this title a few years back though)...I have to say...the movie was a very interesting take on the comic...the acting was good, the plot was much the same as you'd find in a Spider-Man comic (at least back when I read them) and the special effects were decent...all in all, I enjoyed it...

Monsters, Inc....very funny movie, some nice plot twists...not a bad way to spend an hour and a half...

Scooby-Doo...SURPRISINGLY FUNNY MOVIE! I was laughing through most of it, the acting wasn't too bad, and you have to love who the villain was in the end ("I would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for you meddling sons of *SLAM*")...if you ever watched Scooby-Doo as a kid, you should see this film...

The Scorpion King...well, it wasn't Conan the Barbarian, but at least it wasn't Red Sonja either...I was moderately entertained for the time it ran...but I wouldn't really say that this is a "must buy" item...a renter, yes...but wait for it as a gift otherwise...

Mr. Deeds...ANOTHER HILARIOUS MOVIE! I was nearly rolling on the floor at this movie...I had a great time watching it, and highly recommend this movie if you want a good laugh...

Le Pacte des Loups (The Brotherhood of the Wolf)...I have only this to say...if you liked From Hell, Sleepy Hollow or similar movies, go get this one now...it is a GREAT film with superb fight scenes and a good plot...this is the must buy of this set, IMnsHO...

I still have yet to watch Insomnia and Jet Li's Black Mask, but expect a review of those one once I finish them...just not sure when I'll be able to...maybe tomorrow, if I'm lucky...most of my other new DVDs are ones I've seen before (Final Fantasy, Fallen, Wild Things, Spawn, The Three Amigos, Jackie Chan's Mr. Nice Guy (got it for $5 at Wal-Mart), 12 Monkeys, TMNT, a few others)...

Actually, the movie is very good despite that ...it has a nice twist ending I didn't really see coming until it was right there, just like the Sixth Sense...
