Ok ya'll you've heard about it. Now you can read about it. A sneak peek at the situation surrounding 'The Trial of Retribution' can now be read. As always, enjoy!

I'm just curious why it isn't a BattleTech (or Classic BattleTech or whatever you want to call it this week...you know, the game with big robots) game. I'm sure AeroTech 2 is a fun game and all of that, but I think a BT game would have been better, especially as a way to promote the upcoming box set...but then again what do I know?

P.S. the islands were friggin' great. I have a tan in January and I don't look orange in the process. I am a Golden God!

Because we already had Monte Diablo, promoting AT2 is equally important as it is a part of the Classic BattleTech gaming system. And we're producing miniatures for AT 2 also.

I for one am VERY excited about this event. I was thrilled to be able to take part in Mount Diablo and I am making every effort to be able to take part in this one, even though it will mean at least a 4+ hour drive.

I am definatly going to have to brush up on my Aerotech 2 skills. Good-bye Bears 'cause if I get my way the Nova Cats will be sleeping on your pelts.

Thanks Warner for the sneaky peaky!

That doesn't makes sense Warner. "We did BattleTech so now it's on to something else!" A lot of players who play the board game don't play AT2. Not to mention that advertising the flagship game by showing it in action at these events would be a boon to sales.

But you guys know what you're doing I suppose.

because battletech is moving out of its own stupidity and moving into the light.

battletech is no longer JUST ABOUT mechs. its about the entire entity, each planet, person, and nation. this factor has been something that has attracted people for so long, its not just a game.... its a universe. full of unique ideas and cultures.

and battles start in the pocket book. first you must mobilize your people, and get there support for your military actions. then you have to get to the target. gimmie 5 monitors, a hand full of dropships, and a battalion of fighters and your mech force will quickly be sucking vacume. transportation has and will be the most essential part of any war.

so i say its about time that these elements got the recognition that they deserve.

Agreed..... but I do think Big Ships ought to be limited. Think about it, Dropships were always the big limiting factor. Too much and many big cruisers and the mech falls into lesser status.

One thing about AT2 it is critical for one house, Marik. Read the old HOuse books and you find out that Marik had to make up for Mech units with Jumpships, Dropships and lots of Fighters. They had to fend off attackes before they happened, or cut the enemy off. So I hope this allows more variety in units. Hell even them clanner bastards have a space loving group.

AWAD- NAC 40 from space = 1 Company of Mechs
