Having watched the Two Towers twice and TFotR several times (both in the theater and on DVD), I've been drawn back to looking at fantasy gaming lately...just this past weekend, I went ahead and purchased most of the books I was missing from the class enhancing series...I already had Tome & Blood (and the errated Bladesinger prestige class entry from the D&D website)...now I have added Sword & Fist, Defenders of the Faith and Masters of the Wild (I think Defenders of the Faith is the best of these, with Sword & Fist behind it...which is surprising, considering that I love rangers)...I also have gotten the first two books in the Heroes of High Favor series from Bad Axe Games (Dwarves and Half-Orcs...Elves should be out soon) a week or two ago...
And now today, I have bought a book for which I have been waiting months...Races of Renown: Plot & Poison: A Guidebook to Drow...this looks to be a must get for any fans of the Dark Elves...150+ pages jammed packed with dark info on this race...I can't wait to read it all...
Also, it should be noted that the D&D website has listed some of their upcoming products, these include a new edition of the Fiend Folio, Savage Species: Playing Monstrous Characters, Windwalker (the third book in Elaine Cunningham's Starlight & Shadows trilogy set in the Forgotten Realms, detailing the adventures of Liriel Baenre, drow wizardess, fighter and cleric (coming into the service of Eilistraee, the Dark Maiden, Lady of the Dance, goddess of good drow) and her human lover, the Rashemon berserker Fyodor...this is one of the best fantasy series I've ever read, which is to be expected, considering its author...can you tell I've been waiting for this book for nearly a decade? ), Unapproachable East (Forgotten Realms sourcebook detailing Aglarond, Rashemen, Thay, Thesk, and the Great Dale), Condemnation (the third book in the RA Salvatore sponsered War of the Spider Queen series...this is a great series, with all major characters thus far being drow, or in the case of the draegloth, half-drow/half-demon), and in July, they will be releasing revised editions of the core rulebooks...
I can't wait!

To clarify the revised editions-
According to an article in Dragon Magazine, TSR got so much feedback through the magazine and through their usual channels that they realized they needed to make some changes; this is akin to FASA's BMR: Revised. I'd suggest that you get a subscription to Dragon magazine (regular newsstands are beginning to get it now) so that you can watch for the updates; they've announced that they are slowly going to mention them through the magazine.
BTW, don't be surprised if you see the Book of Vile Darkness. Officially, it's for gamers who feel the need to make their games more mature. IMHO, it's probably not going to be one of TSR's better moves (people have written into Dragon threatening to abandon the game over it).

Already have at the local Waldenbooks...been tempted to get both it and the Armies of the Abyss sourcebooks...both are VERY dark...I was reading through some of the Book of Vile Darkness today...not something most parents would want their kids reading through...hell, there are some points in Plot & Poison I wouldn't want young children to read through...
Not to mention the bare breasted women that are in all three books...

I can't wait for Savage Species: Playing Monstrous Characters. I play them more that any others....

Wouldn't you know it...I go into the Waldenbooks today (got the latest Dragon and Newtype magazines), and both Armies of the Abyss and Book of Vile Darkness are no longer there...
*sigh*
Perhaps it's for the best though...that stuff was almost as bad as some of the stuff I've seen in a Black Dog book...maybe worse...
