I'm probably way out of line but I don't care.
I've had enough of this Euro posting anti-American stuff and links to websites that are so ultra-left that its pathetic., and I will now continue to delete them.
Say what you want about that stance, I don't care. Enough is enough...
(Edited to change "Euortrash" to just "Euro". My apologies to anyone offended.)

I just have to say I think thats pretty weak. I mean I know this isnt a free board and all, but I dont think it should have been deleted.
Mordel's Bar and Grill is made up of many nationalities, and I think its that multi-cultural background that makes us so cool. You complain about the ultra-left anti-American bashers...I complain about the Ultra-Right Anti-freedom censorship.
If i were to post an anti-Canadian post, you'd have a good laugh and joke around...and I am sure the Canadians would too. If I were to post an anti-Communist China post, we'd all have a good laugh at the Commie's expense. But as soon as someone posts something bashing the United States, you get upset. And rightfully so, too. Its your country, and you should have your patriotism. But also, you need to remember what this country means. Freedom is what this country was founded on. The first amendment gauruntee's any person, whether they are American or not, to say what they want on American soil.
I am also pretty sure this post will be deleted, or knocked down cause this is a private website, but I think I have made my point. If you love your country enough to dislike the bashing, you should love it enough to allow people to say what they want, when they want it.

My issue is that its gone well beyond debate and I'm not in the mood (nor have I been in for a very long time) for people with agendas. And I especially am not in the mood for Euros posting crap like that.
As for anti-Canadian, short of saying you don't like Molson or ice hockey, what could you possibly say that's anti-Canadian?

I am not sure whether or not I agree with Talen. I feel that the humor of any kind of joke all depends on the current situation. Normally I don't care if people bash the U.S. (hell, we probably deserve it), but since I have not seen the posts in wuestion I cannot reach a true decision. But Talen does have a point as well. I may delve deeper later.

I am of the mindset to back chihawk on this one. I don't want another Vietnam on our hands were our boys are over in another land risking their lives for the sake of freedom. A freedom their own countryman use to condem them.

Bearing in mind that
1) This is a private forum and you can do as you damn please
2) The posters are guests here and are expected to show courtesy toward the host
(I too would kick outta my house a guest that insulted my country)
Having said all that, I still think your action has been heavy handed.
I've reviewed the posts of Nightmare in the topic below, he's a regular contributor to this forum, and I don't recall he is a troublemaker like mud, for example, or
OKAY, OKAY, I AM NOT CALLING KARAGIN A "TROUBLEMAKER" SORRY FELLA 
It disturbs me that on reading something you don't like, you proceed to stamp it out and disqualify the poster as "Eurotrash" and "ultra leftist"
If you are going to implement a policy of "only Americans are welcome" and are going to discriminate people according to their political views, then say so, because in that case I do not wish to stay here.
Wouldn't it have been better to let him post the message and append a "Moderator's comment" saying something like
"I think all you are saying is BS, and that you are a moron, but I'm letting you say it just so everybody sees what a fool you are and they can rebuke you"
Since Nightmare is not one of the usual suspects of that kind of behaviour, your action comes out as heavy handed and the derogatory comments are unwarranted, and I resent them, being a European of sorts.
I think feelings are running high at the moment, I'm not getting involved in that all war controversy.
I just want to remind you are all that above anything else, politics, nationality or creed, we are all gamers and we have more in common with each other than with the rest of the dumb masses.
I have seen other message boards ruined by jingoism and flame wars that have nothing to do with the hobby, and it's not pretty. Please don't let it happen here.
There was a thread back that insulted the French where I stepped in and asked for moderation. There's no love lost between me and the French, but I see no need for gratuitous insults.
Many Americans in this board will think that the Europeans are assh*les, conversely, many Europeans have reasons to believe the Americans are fascistic warmongers.
*shrugs* I'm with the Americans on this war, and in fact I get a kick off arguing with the anti war crowds in the street (did that today), I think most of the Europeans are deluded fools, and I'm a hardcore right winger.
Still, I find extremists in my side as appalling as extremists in the other camp.
Patriotism is a beautiful thing, but when it degenerates into jingoism it gets ugly. Bear that in mind, and always remember is the governments , presidents and chief of states the responsibles for policy and all the evil doing, don't blame the people.
Case in point, France. I think the current French president is a jackal, I think the French are jerks, but in the way the people is rallying around their president because on their view they are defending their country against the US arrogance... well, the irony of how similar is the behaviour of public opinion on both sides of the Atlantic is not lost on me.
I mean, everybody has a point, but when tempers and patriotic fever rise, disagreements turn into something personal.
I wish these words would sink in on you and help you people about being more moderate in your views. Even when you are utterly convinced of being right, always allow for the possibility of being mistaken, and remember not everybody sees things your way and can arrive to different conclusions faced with the same facts.

Karagin, maybe Vamp's comment was out of line, but there's been more than a few times you've been in the middle of a flamewar. "Sticking your foot in your mouth" is not the same as posting inflammatory comments, whether you mean to piss people off or not.

I removed Nightmare's post because I feel it went beyond debate and that he has an agenda.
You'll note I have not given my opinion on this board of what I think of the prospects of war oversees, nor do I usually post my political beliefs.
I will say that abhor people of both the extreme left and extreme right, and I'm quickly losing patience with people on both sides.
