Oh my where to start. First I will be intentionally vague so I dont give away to much and spoiil the movie for you.
Spirited away. Well I had seen a couple of the previews for it and it looked pretty interesting, so not being one for the theaters I decided to buy it (and possibly return it for credit if it, well you know sucked). My wife and I sat down to watch it and we were absolutely AMAZED! The story is wonderful the animation is wonderful, and the Dubbing was in my opinion wonderful as well. (Background on my wife. She wears hearing aids so listening to it in japaneese with subtitles is out, she wants english and subtitles). It was the first time that I have ever watched one that the written dialog and verbal dialog matched perfectely. Usually its horribly different (ex. Akira) With in 20 mins of the movie starting my wife and I were TOTALLY hooked.
The basic story is Chiro and her parents get lost and end up in a spirit town where humans are not allowed (unless you can find work) and end up getting stuck there (her parents turn into pigs) and she mets a young boy named Haku, and who ends up helping her get home. Any more info will ruin the movie, so rent it and enjoy.
I give this one 2 HUGE much thumbs WAY WAY UP!!
Castle in the sky. Also a Studio Ghibi film.
This one I got at the same time since Suncoast had them on special for 19.99 each and since it was my B-day recentley and decided to splurge. This one was about the same I though the ending was a little weak but over all it was very interesting. But in a time on earth where there are flying islands and interesting flying machines "Laputa" is kind of like the lost city of atlantis. Known only in legend but figued to be floating around out there still. The main character Sheeta has a stone with mysterious orgins Pirats and the military want it and she hooks up with Paku and together they start looking for it whail running form the military and pirates. And again anymore info will ruin the movies so again go and rent or buy they will be well worth the money.

MEtropolis was ok. I just had a hard time following the plot. (I thought it was rather thin) But the animation was fantastic.
