Well I went and the The Matrix Reloaded this afternoon, and I must say The stroy defintely got a lot better. It has a few major surpises in store, or it did for, since I read none of the hype leading up to it.

And best of all some of the Defenses for the City of Zion look like BattleMechs or at least heavily armed Agromechs. . .

If you liked the first one defintely go see it, and from my understanding the final chapter is scheduled for Release in December of this year. Excellent fight scenes, which IMO are not comeplte ruined by the trailers.

Those battlearmor pieces are present in a up-armored form in the animation available off the website, 2nd revolution part I and II. When I saw them in the movie I thought that the state of CGI animation has reached a level where a believable B'tech movie could definitely be made. Now all it takes is the right story and an interested producer.

Saw it last night, loved it. the only bad thing about it is the ending.... it ends. I walked out of there thinking "I wish that had been longer" only to realize that I'd been in there 2 and 1/2 hours already.

The story of Reloaded is worse than that of the original, IMO. The character development just wasn't there, and plot elements seemed to include more cliches than in the last. I wonder if Keanu Reeves wrote the kissing seen himself.

However, the movie as a whole was good. The action was great and the special effects top-notch.

Regal Cinemas Greenbrier.

I'm up at Fleet Week 2003 in NYC right now, so I don't have internet access, but I'll be back at the end of next week (31MAY03)
