Given my lack of familiarty with the House Davion fighter and dropship designs (and a lack of familiarty in general with the AeroTech 2 System), I was wondering I could get some suggestions from you all on a fighter chassis and a dropship.
Era: 3025
1) I need a Davion Aerofighter design, preferably multi-role since I'm only bringing two aerospace fighters into my unit.
2) A drophship, that could hold about:
3 Lances of 'Mechs
2 Arty (Undecided as of yet on type)
3 Lances of Tanks
2 Aerofighters
1 Company of Infantry
Cheaper is better, but since the word "cheap" among dropships is relative, heavy armorment helps.
Any ideas friends?

In 3025, the three primary Davion AeroSpace fighter designs were the SparrowHawk, Corsair and the Stuka...
As for the DropShip...about the only thing I can think of is either a highly modified Fortress or a highly modified Overlord...

Ruger's answer is good...as far as a recommendation of which of those three fighters to take, well mine would be the 50 ton Corsair. It should be able to do anything you need it to with a reasonable amount of success.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking... Looks like right now it'll be a pair of Corsairs and a Modified Fortress as my Aerospace assests.

Well I think I can help in the tank department.
Lance of Stikers, in lance formation they can wreak havoc. At range 6 and LRM10 and SRM6 in the grill hurts.
Lance of J Edgar Hovers, fast light, some Medium lasers and SRMs to fight other vehicles or harass light mechs, hard to hit.
Lance of Bulldogs......4 Large Lasers and 2XSRM4, many a big mech has gone down.
You get 3 types of movement and medium weight and they are kind of cheap and semi common. Remember you have to fix vehicles often.

I'm somewhat partial to the Scarborough 35 ton hover tanks. Saladins, Saracens or Scimitars, depending on what you need.
The Saladin is plain nasty with a front-mounted AC20 on a chassis going 8/12! Can you say scout hunter?
The Saracen is a solid battle performer, with it's LRM-10 and three SRM-2 racks in a turret. Still going 8/12. The only thing it lacks is a second ton of SRM ammo so you could choose between regular and Inferno. Just have one Saracen in four pack Infernoes.
The Scimitar is perhaps not as well-armed, having an AC5 and two SRM-2 racks. It's speed is still 8/12, however, and since those AC5 hits are so irritating people will want to come closer and kill you
