Mex, I didn't get this error on either of my machines. Could you give me the exact steps you take from when you start the program to when the error occurrs. Also, in case I'm still not able to reproduce, could you zip up your original Deck Builder directory? That way I can do an install and hopefully get the same message. Please note, I only want the Deck Builder directory, not the Art directory. I've already got all the Art.

| Are you sure that you dont use a older version of DB ?
Or maybe you have installed your newest version over a already existing older version.
I use a german WinME on a Celeron with 634 MHz. After installing the DB3, i restarted my PC and then started DB3 to try it out. I didnt import any old files or databases from previous installations of older versions.
To reproduce the error, i simply select the "Set Tracking" page. As soon as i select the "Unlimited" set, which ist the LAST SET in the list of available sets, i get a popup with the errormessage "Key violation."
DB3 displays only a single card, "Accurate Intelligence" as the entire list of unlimited cards. If i try to select another set after the error, i get the same error over and over again and all sets look like they dont contain cards.
I also noticed, while writing this message, that there is no "Unlimited" set in the Custom Card Module.
I asume that the files for the "Unlimited" set are simply missing in the "Deckbuilder/Database" subdirectory.
I see the following filetypes for the Limited set: .db .MP .PX .XG0 .YG0
There are similar files for each expansion, but not for the Unlimited set.
MfG, MEX
PS: There is no "Art" directory, i asume you are talking about the "Deckbuilder/Images" subdirectory.

MEX,
Was this a clean install, or was this an install over an existing Deck Builder 2.00e install? I was assuming you installed it over the existing install. If it's a clean install (no version of the deck builder installed previously), let me know and I'll try it that way.
Also, there is no Unlimited because it uses the same table as the Limited set. So what you are observing there is "normal".

I just re-read your post and realized it was from a full install (not overwriting your older version). I'll give that a try and see what happens. Was Deck Builder installed on this machine already? just in a different directory?

MEX,
FOr kicks I tried installing it both ways. First when no previous install of DB was on the machine, and then when I had previously installed the DB but it was in a different directory than where I put 3.0.0. Neither way seemed to dislay the error.
Could you please zip up the contents of your Deck Builder folder and all subdirectories (minus the Images folder)? That way I can open yours on my machine and hopefully see the same error.

| Done, except the Decks subdirectory which is empty.
As long as i cant access the Unlimited set without locking DB3 with the "Key violation." popups which plage me after the first time after i select the Unlimited set in "Set Tracking" each time after i start this program, DB3 is nearly unusable for me
MfG, MEX
PS: DB had been installed on this machine in the past, but not on the partitions i now use with WinME. This OS never had any contact with older versions of DB, so it was a CLEAN installation.
PPS: You have a error in your website too !
When i post a message it uses the GMT+1 timezone i set in my preferences.
But when i edit my messages, it seems to use the timezone of the server.

Excellent. Thank MEX, the files helped. I think I tracked down the issue. Post any more you've found so I can fix them as well. I'll probably be releasing Build 13 at some point today to fix the couple things that have been found.
Also, thanks for the heads up on the date issue.

I get the same "Key Violation" when I try and look at the Unlimited set in set tracking. I need to restart the program to get rid of it. I did a clean install as well.
Running XP on a P4 machine.
Thanks,
Don

Thanks guys. I did resolve the issue. So that's one potentially serious defect that has been squashed.

Another question (actually 2)
1. Is there any way to import my set tracking from the old version?
2. Where will the "new" dugged versions be posted? i.e. Will a new file replace the old one for each bug that's squashed?
Thanks,
Don

1) If you already have the Deck Builder installed, you can simply install the new 3.0.0 version into the same directory as your existing one. It will attempt (and hopefully succeed) in converting all your existing info into the new format. That way it keeps all your tracking and trade information.
2) You mean when new releases of the DB are out? Until it's ready for an official release and I don't consider it Beta, then they'll be available through the Deck Builder --> Downloads link on the menu. Was that the question you were asking?

My question was will there be an updated Beta version for us to look at? i.e. will you update and release a new Beta version for each bug or group of bugs you fix?
Thanks,
Don

Yes, I will release a new Beta version and will continue to do so until you guys find no more bugs. Was going to release another one today, but am going to hold off. I want to fix some other issues I discovered and do some more testing on my end of things.
