The Kurita Archer does carry two LRM-15s and two Large Lasers; I think it ups the heat sinks and looses a ton and a half of armor on the tradtional archer.

I always did like that variant, I used it last night in my possibly last game for a very long time.

So..... after a flurry of passionate posts, the verdict favors the Crusader. I must say that the Catapult supporters did put up a valiant effort. The tally so far is: Crusader 9 / Catapult 6.
Additionally, the tests have also favored the Crusader, whether it was against a human opponent, a computer or oneself.
Keep it up..

Test each of the Mechs against a force of 3 Locusts. That is a good test for each....

Is choose something else. I'm not an overly wild fan of either 'mech, and I prefer to battle at a distance with Gauss Rifles and streak missiles, augmented by a targeting computer.
OR
Get in close and have a slugfest. Standard LRMs irritate me.
