I think we ought to post odds on how quickly Kiris is going to chicken out and eject when he sees a 'mech coming towards him; those Kuritas tend to do that once you take them out of their simulators and make them fight a real battle

| eh, what did you expect me to do with such a low BV. Clan 'mechs are not cheap, you know. I still wonder why chihawk gave the I.S. more BV. The system is based essentially on the amount of overall damage you inflict, absorb, or could avoid, so it seems to me the more efficient Clan systems are equal here. Not a matter of major concern though; Clan battle philosophy is always to do more with less.

I think you just answered your own question. Equal BV would not be an appropriate battle between Clan and IS because the Clan are suppose to be superior. Therefore, you should be able to conquer your foe with a lesser machine.

Mud,
I am a numbers guy.. In another words, the game of batteltech can easily be broken down to the to hit and be hit numbers.. If you carry that into percentages, you should be able to adequately predict the winner of a particular battle.
Your targetting computer and your speed more than adequately make up for any presumed shortfalls in your mech. Run the numbers and look at them, you should wipe Kiris off the board given an even matchup of like skilled individuals..
By the way, in my experience the BV does not adequately cover the advantages in speed or range that a clan mech generally holds.
This hould be an interesting fight once it starts..
