I just picked up 2 novels for a penny each because he started them at a penny and no one else bid. Both from same guy, huge pos rating on him, and combined total with shipping is $4.52, less than the price of one book. Both are in near mint condition. What a deal. Also saw an Atlas sell for $2.00+$1.50 shipping...too bad i noticed it with 1 minute till closing and was closed by the time I got my bid on.

I've bought lots of stuff on eBay for pennies on the dollar...there's so many sellers that in most cases it's a buyer's market.

There's a large number of OOP books like House sourcebooks and scenario packs of 3025 vintage (like Sorenson Sabres) on eBay now. I have all that stuff so I thought I would pass this onto you people.

Yeah, I almost won a trio of sourcebooks in a single auction for $5.00, but I didn't have more to spend at that time so I lost to someone who bid $7.50  oh well

Heh, he makes up for it a bit in shipping, but I don't mind...even if it only costs $2.00 to ship them

| A lot of stuff on ebay goes for less than what its worth, so I understand why people do it. Packing materials cost money too; it makes sense to shift that cost onto the consumer...I'm sure a lot of people's profit margins are so thin they would be wiped out by packing material otherwise. There's the time invested in actually packing and shipping the item; books don't ship themselves. When you order from a corporation you don't complain that you are paying somebody a wage to do that work.

| I've been having a slew of ebay troubles lately; first a mini never arrives (luckily I had insurance, so I got my money back), and now I'm waiting for a book and a map set that's a couple of weeks overdue. Anybody ever deal with a dealer calling himself mechdepot?

Sorry, no. However here is a good rule of thumb:
Never deal with someone who has little or no feedback, and also the feedback must have at least a 90% positive. I say 90% cause, no one can make everyone happy. It's also a good idea to read the feedback of other people and submit your own.

Or could be the postmaster, where my mom lives it takes her 5 days to get something from a town 10 miles away. Thats so sad.
