Does anyone have a good mech builder that includes the level 2 and three weapons including this like the Rocket10s. I have the Battlemech designer featured on this site but it doesnt contain any specialised things such as advanced armour types, weapons and tech. Including the upgrade stuff.
Any help appreciated! thnx!

BMD 9.71 is several years out of date and the author appears to have fallen off the face of the earth. Other than HMP I don't know of any design prog that is completely up2date. However Mech Engineer Pro has the ability to use all new tech by using the Add Non-Standard Equipment option from then Engineer menu. You must enter the stuff by hand, but no big deal really, if you want something free. MEP will only work up to ME, and will not work on 2000. I use MEP, The Drawing Board, and BMD. They are all good for being freeware  I am going to purchase Heavy Metal Plus soon though.

| If you are only looking at free programs, The Drawing Board is about the best you are going to find I believe. It has no problems with level 1 or 2 stuff that I am aware of and has all available equipment, provided you have the most up-to-date version. It does have a couple bugs when dealing with level 3 stuff, but otherwise it is pretty good.

Just remember you get what you pay for the Heavymetal programs get top notch support far superiour to anything else you will find

Which is why I am buying them as soon as I can afford to

Here ya go, you can download everything you need for The Drawing Board from this site:

Has pretty much all the canon mechs I think.
Start with the lowest version and then unzip each consecutive version over top of it (they are just updates so no installer like on the 2.0.10b)
