Would you all be interested in playing a squad/company sized pirates taking over a planet scenario?
I am currently playing one on another websight and it is very interesting. I talked to the guy who is running it, and he is willing to sit down with me and show me some of the rules he is using.
Effectively you get 50 mill C-Bills to create a unit, and you are dropped as pirates on a planet, and then told to take over the planet.
By the way, only one pirate can be the winner...
if there is interest, I'll check it out more.

Global free for all? Sounds like something I've heard from somewhere....
What's the tech base?
What's the planet like?
What are the local defenses?

The one I am playing in is set in 3025..
The 'planet' is two standard maps set side by side.. with the hexes set to large scale (30 Km per hex or there abouts)..
Local Defenses are quite a bit like the attackers, with the exception that they have a bunch of partisan infantry (since you are on their planet)..
Week long turns... resupply at the end of each month.
The one I was thinking would be set in 3050.. Same basic set up.. So far I am enjoying the one I am playing in..

If you kept it at 3025 I might be interested, but not at a higher tech level. Can you play a privateer?

I am interested, especially if it is set in 3025 era. I would need a quick crash course in PBEM.

i'm slowly dropping out of other games as things are getting wrapped up so i'd be interested.
3050 sounds kewl.
though i'll need an explination of this large scales hexes and turn procedures stuff.

This sounds like an interesting idea...I might be willing to play the planetary defenders too...maybe a Kurita or a Liao world on the Periphery with limited 'mech resources, but lots o conventional stuff.
3025 would be my tech level of choice.

OK Let me finish up the three PBEMs I am currently in and I'll get it set up...
I have almost all the rules now, so it should go pretty fast.

I'd be interested in playing, preference on 3025, but I could resign myself and even enjoy myself at the 3050 tech lvl.
