There is a limit. I only learnt of it recently myself.
You can have a maximum of 6 of any one card. The 5 Support cards have no limit though.
And you know that Uniques have a limit of 1.
Had to remake a fair few of my decks upon learning that. My stupid charger deck went straight out the window. Since it only had the one variant of the charger ( CGR-1L : the free with politics variant), it stands to reason that there were a few more than 6 copies of it in there.

where in the rule book is this limit stated?
i searched for 30 min and could not find it. i know about the 1 unique rule, but i thought it was a limit to # in play not in your deck, as stupid as it would be to have 6 morgan kells when only one can be used.

You can only have 1 copy of a unique in your deck, though you can have 1 copy each of certain character. i.e. Kai Allard-Liao and Kai Champion of Solaris. So although they are both the same person, you can have both in your deck, but you are only allowed 1 in play at any one time.
I shall do a search on where abouts it says all this in the rules for you. Are you reading the physical official printed handbook of the rules, or a .pdf file?

Just wanted to check, as I found that one set of rules in .pdf format that I got from ccgworkshops had been doctored slightly. I don't have a physical copy, but I have what I believe to be an undoctored .pdf copy.
page 55
Unique - A keyword that means you may have only one copy of that card in your deck.
If you activate a Unique card when there's already a copy of that card in play, your copy is scrapped.
Page 13
Unique cards that contain the text "counts as" are updated versions of previous Unique cards. They count as the original version for purposes of having more than one in play, but you can have a copy of each version in your deck.
For example, the card Phelan Ward, starts off with "Counts as Phelan while in play." This means that there's also a card called Phelan, which is also Unique. While you can have one Phelan card and one Phelan Ward card in your deck, they can't be active at the same time.
I can't find anything about the 6 card limit in the rule book. If I remember correctly, it was a DCI rule.
I'll look that up for you as well.
::edit:: here is the link to the DCI rules at ccgworkshop

In the BT specific DCI rules for 99-00 is the following.
521. Deck-Size Limits
Constructed decks must contain a maximum of sixty cards. There is no minimum deck size. If a player wishes to use a sideboard, it must contain exactly eight cards.
With the exception of basic resources (Assembly, Logistics, Munitions, Politics, and Tactics), a player's deck and sideboard combined may not contain more than six of any individual card, counted by its English card title equivalent.
So this is a tournament rule. Which basically means that there is no limit on the number of copies of a card you have in your deck. Unless:
a) it is a Unique card
b) you decide to play by the tournament rules.
So yes you can have 36 Jenners in your deck if you decide (and agree with your opponent(s) not to play with the DCI tournament rules.
Hope this helps.
