me and beebles goin to have btech fight its not the most elegant or correct just some very basic rules we found on net
lance on lance 140 ton limit TRO 3025-3050 no clan tech
one defeding one attacking armoury.

We're using a hex map i made up in autocad, dice from monopoly, quick start rules that dont explain heat and we still dont know what to represent the mechs with. _________________ too lazy to make a sig...

represet the mechs with anything so long as each on is unique in some way and you can tell which way it is facing. Steal the little metal counters from that monopoly box and use them (like the car and dog, which have a front and back)
Heat: Movement generates 1 for walking, 2 for running. Each weapon lists how much heat it generarates when firing.
How many heat sinks you have is how much heat you can dissipate, if they are double heat sinks, then they dissipate 2 points each (normally shown in () after the number of HS. If you generate more then you can dissipate mark it on the heat scale and roll for the effects listed at or below the mark. If you arent using record sheets, make some to use by downloading BattleMech designer 9.71 from this site's files section, or from mine (also has all canon designs 3025-3060 in a seperate zip file) at http://campaign.dubrin.net and choose files from the menu.

we finished the first fight and a secound beebles won both withe some lucky crits and a smokin head shot in the third turn of the second fight

I used to do that all the time. The guys I used to play with hated it when I did that. If playing with full lances a head shot can turn the tide of the battle.
