Has anyone played the card game Munchkin yet? My wife and I just picked it up over the weekend and it looks pretty fun.

Ive played it several times. Its drop dead funny. If you have any experience with RPGs, youll have a good idea of what the game has been distilled from.
The more people you have playing, the better it gets. Then you have more people to ally with or shaft, as your tastes dictate. You can ask your friends to help you beat a monster, then split the loot, or they can leave you swinging in the breeze and get the fluff beat out of you.
Read the rules a couple of times, and play the game as you read (if you need examples and stuff) so you get a feel for whats going on. Also, if youre so inclined, check out www.dorktower.com to get some 'flavor' for the game.
Keep your eyes open for Bigbys Crushing Tactical Nuke to make an apperance in the comic.......

I have played other stuff from Steve Jackson before and loved them. Munchkin reminds of the stuff that came out of Cheap Ass Games in the 1990's. Like Kill Dr Lucky, Bite their Heads off and Before I Kill you Mr. Bond. The Bond one is hilarious and ranks high on my recomendation list. It has everything from the secret bunker to a lemonade stand to a fax machine to henchmen.

The object is to kill as many spies as possible by sending them into your lair . The lair is built by all sorts of odd things, like the lemonade stand.

Looking through the Munchkin cards I was greatly amused by the Gazebo monster. That was discussed in a thread about the Cthulu RPG I believe.

Another good card game is Guillotine. I think it is from Wizards of the Coast. You play the executioner during the French Revolution and you have to collect as many heads from nobles as possible. Very odd game.

Anyone ever heard of Paranoia?
I love that game. Nothing like having 9 clones that are all stupid as heck and immediately replacable.
And remember, the computer is your friend.

Six clones, Citizen. I think some Commie Muntant Trator has gotten to your memories. Perhaps you need Memory Restructuring, Citizen. Report to your local Termination Center for Personality Modification, Citizen. Thank you for your cooperation. Have a nice daycycle. Now.
Happiness is Mandatory.

Dood, I lived through so many lively discussions (read: heated firefights) that I drove the GM up the wall. And for some reason, my clone Mist-R-EXX (Internal Security) survived ground zero of an overloaded Plasma Generator when the rest of the team was vaporized.

I am happy!!!
I have the box set for it Oafman but yes I'd like to play it.
I ran an adventure one time and my brother, who is a moron of the first caliber, decided he would chuck a grenade in a corridor. He made a horrible die roll and threw the pin instead. He dropped the grenade at his feet and KABLUEY!! He is toast! The explosion opened a hole in the floor and a nasty drop into a storage area produced a 50 foot drop. I played it as when you died your clone was brought in and lowered from an access hatch in the ceiling by two arms clamped about the clones shoulders. The arms set the clone to the floor and released. Unfortunately for him, but fortunate for us, his clone was released right where he had been standing......and proceeded to fall 50 feet to his death....then next clone....next clone.....next clone...etc...
He was a little ticked but we were all laughing too hard to really care...was great fun.

We were playing a mission, and started with morning revellie and Waky-waky pills. My dads character got a sleepy-sleepy byt mistake and went back to sleep. My guy requested another waky-waky, and my Bro asked "okay, how you gonna make him swallow it." To which I replied, "I shove it down his throat." Brother rolls the die, blatantly ignoring the results, and says, "okay, you killed him. Dad, mark off a clone." Dad thought I was in trouble, killing a troubleshooter and all. Till I told Friend Computer "Citizen Whip-R-WIL disobayed a direct order to wake up."
Friend Computer replied "Excelent work, Citizen. Your actions will be rewarded."

Munchkin is a great game. Not quite as good as Illuminati, but still very good. I have played it a handful of times. I would pick up my own copy, but lacking any gamer friends where I live I cannot justify the cost.

Dark adder, that made no sense at all. Is that all part of the game?
