That's actually a very good question. I can honestly say that I don't know. But someone here must have a vague idea.

This is a guess based on the hostile environment rules, but I would say 1 point on the heat scale is equal to 10 degrees Celcius.

If true, then they aren't kidding when they talk about mechwarriors roasting in their cockpits.

In the Mechwarrior 2 Titanum games, the comp would give you a warning when your heat gague got about 2/3rds of the way up.
The thing would audible "Internal Temperature at 700 Kelvin."

Just like the fiction, the video games have no impact on the board game.

And that's a good thing considering they just make stuff up for them without regard for other things in the game.

Gee Chihawk, but the actual temperature has no impact on the game either. So telling us the video game has no impact on something that is not impacted by the topic of discussion is just odd man.

It's not odd at all, it's how it works.

We could probably make a guess from the effects of overheating. The pilot starts taking damage when the life support is out, so it's hot enough that he can't breathe. Quick, where's my fire-fighter's manual?

That doesn't mean the scale is always a certain number of degrees per point, though. Just that it has to be hot enough to kill people rapidly once it goes to 15 points.

and outer heat lvl.
If in a lvl 1 water I could dissipate 6 points
I'm wondering if this rule shuold be changed
in case of runnig and fresh water

You can only dissipate the extra 6 heat if you have heat sinks under the water.

If you don't have any heat sinks in your legs you don't cool down at all standing in level 1 water.

In which case you're no longer standing in level 1 water...
