One round. that is all Draconis needed to waste my Warmaster. One stinking round
Here is how it went.
He took a Kodiak. I chose my Warmaster. We randomly droped and landed 2 hexs apart. The he won intitive. Since the Kodiak (4/6/0)moves faster then the Warmaster (3/5/3) I jumped to a position where he could not get my back. Plus it would give him a harder to hit number.
He stood. His numbers to hit where low. And he fired all 8 of his ER mediums. I was not surprized that he hit with all of them. Then he rolled for location. Rolling 5 sets of dice at once. They all came up to 7. Then he rolled the other 3, Again all 7s. That was 8 rolls to the same number. If I did not see. I would not have beleaved it.
That is 56 points of damage to the center torso. Going in by two. Then he rolled for possable crits. The low life rolled a 12. And all three crits hit the engine. ALL THREE!!!
But I did get my fire. And I unleashed on him. And spread the damage. The whole game lasted 10 mintues. It made me sick. What are the odds of all 8 dice rolling to the same number.
The man should be in Vegas.

I've taken three steps onto the field and had a single hit of an AC10 Ultra in the CT, Poss Crit, and smash my gyro to scrap....
No Fun....

In the first game my wife played she capped a guy in the head at max range with a gauss rifle on turn 1.
And again on turn 2.
And AGAIN on turn 3.
Needless to say not many want her to play anymore.

We had a game go two minutes 45 seconds in the Gunslinger tournament at Gen Con about 3 years ago. They both took Hollanders and faced on open terrain maps. They both missed on the first round, but they both hit the second round. One got caught in the left arm, surviving. The other took it in the right torso and popped the GR. Game over.

never said that, an she didnt head cap me. my head was completly intact. yes it was about 15 hexes away from my body, but that is just a side effect of someone putting there foot in your lrm ammo. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Shortest game I ever played had both players at the max of GR range with clear LOS. Both fired. Both hit. Both went internal and took out ammo and that was that.

AWAD can tell you all about a friend and I double teaming his Annihilator the first round it walked on the field...from a range of about 18 to 20 hexes...we had 5 LRMs (from my moddied Thunder) and 3 or 4 UAC-2 hits (from my friend's moddied Daikyu) to its head, criting the cockpit...in one round...
The remaining vehicles were fairly easy mop up...well, except for that Ontos we didn't want to get too close to...

Playing a one on one game with Tom Fisher I took a Grasshopper and he took an Archer. (what else, right Horhiro?) I jumped into his left side and hit with my LL, got a side torso prossible crit. Got one critical, ammo. BoOm,ooh, ahh, look at all the colors. Whole game lasted about 5 minutes.

We were fighting the clans. We had 2 to 1 odds. A star of Assaults. We had All weights.
It took 2 rounds to close. Then our Venom pilot jumped into the Right side of a Kodiac, won the inititive, and put 2 medium pulses into the right torso. 2 crits - 1 AC20 1 Ammo. BOOOOMMMM Down goes Frasier....
Next she jumps into the face of a Man'o war(Gargoyle), Won the Inititive, 2 medium pulses to CT. Two Poosible crits. 4 Crits two engine and 2 Gyro. Down goes Foreman....
Next Round, after overiding the shutdown sequence, she ran across the field and fired nothing.
Next She jumped into the face of a Gladiator(Executioner) 2 medium pulse to the head, 1 crit, kill the Cockpit.
Now people don't want to play against her....Go figure....
