Well, we've just had ourselves a mighty nasty few weeks of weather, capped off yesterday.
There's been so much rain lately that everything's flooding, roof's on malls are collapsing, and roads are washing out. We've had more tornados than are usual for this area of the world, and so much hail yesterday, that the ground looked like it snowed!
What's that have to do with anything? Not much, I just thought it was interesting...
Alexander (At least the farmers can't keep complaining about drought!)

I saw the results on the news the other night... What a mess. The amount of hail on the ground was freaky. You put it best wjhen you said it looked like it snowed. Did they pull a Toronto and call your unit out?

Actually the weather in the UK has been very wierd, its mid July and its all rain, wind and colder than it usually is in the autumn (fall)

Nope. The Army stayed home from this one. Hail melts quickly when it's above 25degrees Celcius...
There was a letter to the editor in the local paper about a guy who was griping that his street never got plowed this winter because it wasn't scheduled to be done until July (which would be the first available time for the plows), and was shocked to see a plow clearing the hail from his street only a few short days ago... IN JULY!

It's been over 30degrees now for the better part of a week (not sure what that is in US degrees... maybe 85 -90?)
Too hot, tornado weather. Ugh...
