Thats one of the ones that I picture Battletech to. That and 'Faint' from Linkin Park, as well as a few others.....

I never heard of the guys you mentioned. Bolt Thrower (UK) is the kind of music you need for Battletech.

Not that I find any flaw in playing Fear Factory, Sepultura or Slayer during games.

Hmmm Sepultura...... yeahh, but for old school epic like this game is... IRON Maiden. Going to have to find this Bolt Thrower and give it a spin.

Little by Little by Oasis does it for me, don't know why.
Also for some reason Come On Feel The Noize seems to fit battlemechs & Mechwarrior 4 well in particular.

Iron Maiden works too. Or Children of Bodom.
In case you really check out Bolt Thrower, listen before you buy. It's grinding death metal. Sort of an aquired taste.

I too don't know that song (I will have to look it up).
Perhaps the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies in more suitable. Or how about some Tom Jones....
Seriously, I picture Metallica "Justice for All" and especially "Blackened". I know it is old schol, but as Alexander can attest, when you hear it blaring from a Leopard or the back of a 113 as you bounce across open terrain, you begin to feel its power.

If you want something evil you could try parts of the 2001 soundtrack. My roommate in college used to play Doom while listening to the Danube waltz from that. The complete dichotomy of the soft music with the pure carnage is kinda creepy.
(now picture in your head... da da da DA DA BOOM BOOM, BOOM BOOM. da da da DA DA CRASH CRASH, CRASH CRASH.)
Seriously though, Cash's Ring of Fire works well for BT. (goin down down down in a burning ring of fire....)
