ok
Wolfhound was designed to take on panthers it eludes to that in the fluff text
then the woftrap was bulit to take on the wolfhound
what would have been the logical step in this pattern has to be a standard mech from the TRO's and pe the prefect nemisis to the wolf trap.
Though this might be a fun one to ponder.

The Wolfhound manages to kill the Wolftrap all too often. Why build a special nemesis mech for it?

I have them pretty close
I have played the matchup several times 10+
Wolfhound 4
Wolf Trap 5
Draw 1
wolf got a luck shot as it went down
rolled snakeyes then rolled a 12 on the number of crits and rolled 3 engine hits.
Kai must have been in that wolfhound!
this is in varied terrain

The perfect mech, as all know, is the Marauder II.

There is no perfect mech, if there was, we could all stop designing them.
So the marauder II can take on over 100 Madcats and Daishi's and still survive?
Actually, if i was controlling the Mads and Daishi's, then yes it could.
I'm the guy who couldn't hold off a medium lance with two lances of light mechs, a vehicle lance and a King Crab!
If anyone says Whitworths are useless their wrong. They make me cry when the knock out my King Crab! lol

I don't know that the Marauder II is the perfect mech. Guess that debunks that one. _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

well I agree that the maruder II is a great mech I was thinking along the lines of a mech made by the Stiener boys
panther DC
Wolfhound LA/LC
WolfTrap DC
------- LA/LC
just trying to make conversation

Well, i've always found that a Trebuchet or bushwacker works well against the Wolf Trap. Thats because i played a scenario and defeated three lances of the things with 3 trebombo's and 3 bushy's.
My mate has a particularly strange was of creating scenarios. Once i had to defend a bridge with 4 assaults, 4 heavies. And a few gauss, LRm and laser turrets against.
15 Atlas AS7-D's!
I won as well, it dint go to well for a start. But once the atlas's got to their combat loss grouping around 8 fell in just 2 turns.
Man we were up all night playing that one! Afterwards we down scaled the battles a wee bit!
