Amidst the hubbub of Talen's return (Hi Talen!), Ronin makes a quick appearance at the B&G. He approaches the bar to order his usual, an IBC Root Beer. He then pulls out his wallet, and slides a few C-Bill notes to chihawk. Once chihawk nods his approval, Ronin turns and makes his announcement:
"Friends, drinks are on me until the money runs out! I just got married on July 22nd, and we're still busy setting up the household, but I wanted to pop in long enough to let you know that I'm still alive."
At least that's what Ronin intended to say. After he said the fateful words "drinks are one me", he was run down by the usual suspects... the boozehounds, mooches, and other assorted warriors who call this place home.
OOC: Married life is great so far, if not a bit exhausting trying to make one household out of two apartments 200 miles apart.

The thing that's the most frustrating is sorting out all of your treasured possesions from the things you actually get to keep. (I got to have a room with just my stuff - 5' by 9' of pure cool!)
Alexander (missing all my stuff, but appreciating the free beer!)

I used to think that some of those sit-coms were stupid. Until I met my in-laws. Now I see how eerily true some of them are...
Glad to see that everything is going well. Just remember 1 thing. Don't throw any of her stuff away, unless it is by 'accident'.

I never had to throw anything of her's away. She did it. She'd go on a cleaning rampage and 30% of everything was thrown out. Among the casualties was My daughters Birth Certificate, The Marriage License, Parts of her wedding dress, the spare bed, the dishes that didn't match, the silverware that didn't match.... You get the picture....

ouch. That reminds me of watching my uncle go through my grandmothers house when I was out for the funeral. When in doubt it went in the garbage, nevermind the fact that other members of the family wanted some of the things that he threw away.

Unfortunately I am on the other side of the country, so I am just hoping that none fo the stuff that I cherished as a child has been put in the dumpster.

We're still unpacking everything that went from our two individual aprtments into our house. She threatened to "accidentally lose" some of my stuff, and others I had the foresight to put into protective custody, but so far I think everything made it.
So far things are great, at least in some ways. In other ways.... well, we'll either figure it out, or kill each other. So far it's the thermostat... I'm sweating to death and she's freezing to death... all at the same temperature!

When My parents moved from the house I grew up in. They had a company come in and price everything for a huge Garage sale. They didn't spare any of my things. The original Pong game with all pieces.
