==Overview:==
Hull breaches have always been feared on ships, even in the days before
the navy began to sail the stars. Indeed, it haunts the nightmares of many a
sailor and captain.
With the advent of the different types of autocannon munitions, it was
only a matter of time before the Federated Suns began to consider ways to
apply those rounds to space combat. Eventually, an argument broke out among
some weapons designers - one faction favored guided munitions for the purpose
of dogfighting, while another faction favored the armor-piercing munitions for
the purpose of causing hull breaches. Jalastar Aerospace's Holepunch seeks to
work as a middle ground for that debate.
Armed with 4 AC/2s, the Holepunch manages to carry a ton of ammo for each
weapon. Given this, a pilot can carry a mix of ammo types appropriate to the
expected situation. Backing up the ACs is three medium lasers, one of which is
aft-mounted. Although not much firepower, it is not expected to really be
needed.

==Variants:==
A variant under consideration removes the AC/2s and replaces them with twin
AC/10s that each have two tons of ammo. Although they don't have quite the
range of the AC/2s, the AC/10s offer signifigantly more punch.
