well about a year back on a periphary patrtol, i was doing my Warship training program when 3 pirate Attack Corevettes came upon us and be gan firing upon our Aegis Heavy Crusier's hull.I was ordered to gunnery post manning a Naval Autocannon 35 as their aerofighter began strafing the hul.l an Issus Aerofighter came right for the gunnery station on my left.that was taken out as the Issus fired a pair of large lasers at it.I rotated the turet and Put a 160mm shell in his cockpit.Our ship was severly undermanned and we began to take heavy losses.

anyway our aerofighter bay was empty and the corvettes were avoiding our heaviest weapons.One of the pirate sorvette cut around my side and he slowed just long enough for me to put several NAC shells through the bridge of the vessel.Captain Scars reccomeneded me later for a Captainship of a Corvette,which i later got and is in orbit now,after the battle.But it was only one down.then my sensors showed 2 more Warships jumping into our area.i was relieved to find that they were Congress Attack Frigates.They both launched killer Whale Torpedoes, which collided with one of the Last pirates Corvettes.That one went up in a massive explosin that damaged our ship even more as we were right next to it when it exploded.The other corvette attempted to flee but was cut of by a Fredasa Corvette from us that had jumped in.The pirate corvette was boarded and the inhabitants executed by throwing them,while they were alive, into the fusion engine or out the airlock

Throwing them in the reactor? Why risk damaging it? Just space 'em all.
And who spaces people dead? The Leaguers? If you're gonna be spacing people, do it right and don't miss any. And do space 'em live; they remember it longer that way.

Proof? I need to see the skulls of the victims to believe this story....wait, sorry... I had a barbaric moment there.
Did you space the valuable techs too? And where did these warships come from?

Yeah, pirates with Warships... right..
and the Lyran Alliance has a fleet of Mjolnirs.. sure.
Oh oh, the Draconis Combine really has a massive mobile space station the size of a moon that can blow up planets.

In the fluff for the Cameron Class Battlecruiser, the SLS Saint Joan was destroyed by a pirate corvette/raider. Her power systems failed, and the pirate blew her out of space.
That said, I don't think you'll find pirates in WarShips in the 3060s, unless they somehow manage to hijack one.

That's partly becuase in the Star League rea, even the periphery states had warships... all you need is some captain to go rogue and presto! pirate warship...
Did i mention that the Federated Suns wonder technology has managed to squeeze naval lasers into light Aerospace fighters?
