should they retire all the old 3025 Mech and older Mech? don't get me wrong i love them. but they got all Thea's new Mech and they still they use all Thea's old Mech. any 75 tone Mech can be modify to have the same armor and weapons pay load as a Marauder A3

I don't think the 3025 mechs should be retired. The point of project pheonix was to give the mechs legal artwork, and give them the newest technology. So they are still cutting edge technology wise, and many people, myself included can regocnize mechs like Thunderbolt or Marauder much easier than newer ones.

I don't really like the Project Phoenix designs all that much myself. And the art for most of 'em is just atrocious. _________________ "The enemy's gate is down."

Agreed there are a coupld that are ok. But for the most part they are all poorly drawn.

Keep in mind that many of the older designs are no longer in production. With the exception of the Ost- series (which was revived), IMHO those designs will eventually be phased out by sheer attrition.
Out of production:
Assassin
Javelin
Cyclops
Stryker
Grizzly
Kodiak
Pheonix Hawk LAM
Stinger LAM
Wasp LAM
Any others?

Ummm, I'm not even sure that question is even worthy of a reply.

I'm not really a fan of the Project Pheonix artwork either, but at least we get to keep the old mechs in some form.

Why these mechs? And do you mean the minis are OOP or they are being made in universe?

The Javelin is out of production? That's a shame, that's a good 'mech. _________________ "The enemy's gate is down."

Most of the Project Phoenix artwork sucked. They all had the smae, staight, squared off lines. The problem's clear enough: trying to make them look something like they used to look without making them look like they used to look. The Warhammer and Marauder especially annoy me. I could live with them not looking like they used to, but not with them looking stupid.
As for the 'Mechs themselves, they've mostly been updated with new tech. Not all of them are great, but they don't all suck either. Still, there's no reason to get rid of them just because they're old.

Not quite...
The Assassin is being manufactured at Defiance Industries on Furillo...see Handbook: House Steiner, pg. 141...
Ruger (and I imagine that the Javelin is being produced somewhere in the FedSuns at least...)

Geez, lighten up, Chihawk.
3025 mechs are alright in that they dont cost to much, and I know some people who still use them.

It is an incredibly dumb question.
Why on God's green Earth would any mech be "retired"? What would be the logic of removing mechs from the game?
Better yet, what would be the logic of removing the mechs that a large portion of players prefer to play?
I understand starting topics to get discussion started (if we didn't do that there'd be no reason for a message board ), but come on now...there's a million different topics we could talk about before this one should even show up on the radar.

According to the fluff, both mechs have been out of production for almost 50 years.

The Javelin was manufactured by Stormvanger Assembly Lines on Caph. SAL was destroyed during the Succession Wars.
