I was just flicking through my old TRO:3025 for the first time in over a year. What a wonderful, wonderful volume!
So, in honour of me rediscovering it, here is a little question. No prizes, just the honour for whoever gets it first without looking through the book forever!
Going by the description, which 'mech had the most comfortable cockpit (judging by the life-support system); which had the must uncomfortable one (judging by the restricted space)?
See - I even gave clues! _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

I'm just guessing here (I'm a big noob), but is the uncomfortable one the spider? _________________ too lazy to make a sig...

Most comfortable was the Shadow Hawk... this is one of the reasons why it's my favorite canon mech.
The most uncomfortable was the Stinger... reference is made to pilots having to squeeze in, often assited by their techs (ina reverse of the knights that had to have help to get on their mounts).

A small note, the Stinger had a tiny cockpit, yes, but the Catapult had a sideways ejection seat. Now tell me that was a comfortable ride. You'd be lucky if you didn't break your neck! And as I recall the Vindicator had a bulge in the cockpit explained as the mounting for the medium laser. It tended to interfere with the ejection path and make the ejection seat explode on the way out!

Congrats to Ronin on the Shadowhawk.
Yikes, I was thinking about another 'mech for the prize of the uncomfortable one! It pretty much says: the most uncomfortable (because, pretty much smallest) cockpit....
Any other guesses? _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

I would have guessed Vindicator too. Having your ejection system mess up would be pretty uncomfortable.

Well, kudos to Ronin, you win it all!
And, dear sir, I highly respect your preferred choices:
The Shadowhawk is one of the coolest out there - strictly from fluff POV! (it was badly undergunned and over-heat-sinked even in 3025).
The Assassin is just the coolest. Anyone who goes a-gaga over the Spider must surely also love this design. _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

That's why it's so much fun... so many possibilities for customizing, with a sturdy chasis and a comfy cockpit to work with.

Vindicator was a Liao design though. What do they care about the pilots?
